    After sucessfully installing;

    Apple Bonjour 1.0.4
    Firefly svn-1948

    on my home server I downloaded the add-in for WHS and installed it, however ever though it claims to be installed it does not add a tab to the console or an option in the settings window.

    not sure how I could have gone wrong. Any suggestions welcome.

    I realise it’s probably work in progress but the screenshots are so lovely 🙂 hehe

    Hrm.. I’m not sure what to tell you. I dropped it in add-ins, did the install, reconnected and it was in settings.

    Have you looked at the event log on the machine? Perhaps there is something helpful there?

    I can’t see anything that might be helpful, there does not appear to be any errors regarding firefly, infact the only event I could find that included the Add-in was the following;

    Hi,
    Have installed the Add-In, and it’s showing working just fine.
    However, if, when the Firefly page is up, I click on the Server page and select the Web Administration button, a DOS box pops up. In it, it says “not enough memory for this operation”. If I then close the DOS box, there is a flash, and every item in the Console window disappears. Everything apart from the box outline and the heading “Windows Home Server”. The console has to be closed from the red X and restarted.
    This is repeatable every time.

    Have you installed firefly first?

    You’ll need to install the win32 build of firefly at the console of the whs before installing the add-in.

    rpedde,
    Evening,
    Yes, firefly installed fine, and is working across the network as a server – Wife’s iTouch picks it up and copies from it – the only glitch, was the one mentioned. I guess the answer is: don’t use Web Administration!
    I’m in the process of rebuilding the whs over the holidays, so wil try it again, in the New Year.

    Regards,

    Colin

    Oh. Duh. Should have picked that up. Yeah, I guess the moral of the story is “Don’t Do That!”.

    Not entirely surprising it wouldn’t work from the rdp session, but you should still be able to get to the admin page with http://server.ip.address:9999 from your remote machine.
