The connection is wired – I use 802.11a wireless and the SB doesn’t support it. 🙂

    I’ll try the replacement DLL.

Is there any setting on the Windows Firefly config I can have accidentally tweaked?

Havn’t had time to change the DLL yet.

*Have* had time to find a PC on the lan with iTunes installed and it lists the Firefly server as something I can talk to – but if I click on it, it thinks for a while then times out, pops up a box saying it’s been unable to communicate with the media server for “unknown reason (-3259)”.

TCPView on the client sys “SYN SENT” to :9999 but sees no response.

If on the same client i have the web browser try to access :9999/index.html, it asks for the admin password then shows me the Firefly admin screen, so I know it’s not a firewall issue on the server. (In any case I’ve tried it with firewall on and firewall off).

    Now runniing 1417.

Still appears unresponsive to anything except web admin reqs.

I note the following in the log – any help?

    Thread 0: Entering w_returnerror (302: Moved)
Thread 7: Error opening C:index.css:The system cannot find the file specified
    Thread 7: Entering ws_returnerror (404: Not Found)
    (Repeated for Thread 55;…. config.css)

I confirm the ONLY .css file in that dir is called “firefly”. There are files called index.html and config.html, js and xml.

    Bugger.

    It’s working.

    Why bugger?

Coz I don’t know what I changed to fix it.

    More testing…

That’s a packaging error, fixed in svn.

    ha!

but on the other hand, it couldn’t have NOT worked. You’ve checked and eliminated everything it could have been.

Maybe just the act of eliminating possibilities made them go away. Kind of a heisenberg thing. 🙂

    I know what you mean.

Oh well, I have access to my music for the weekend at least, I’ll try more rebooting and stuff next week.

    Thanks for the input.
