    Hi ,

I followed the cool how-to and installed firefly as below.
    http://www.synology.com/wiki/index.php/Compiled_programs_for_Marvell_mv5281_ARM-based_Synology_Products#Firefly.2FMt-daapd_by_Mike

I can access the webadmin UI via my PC on the DS207+, but my Soundbridge cannot see the Firefly server (note: it does see an connect to the built in Diskstation Mediaserver , and a trial copy of Twonky).

The DS runs in a DMZ to be accessible via the internet, but I doubt this is an issue.

    # mt-daapd/Firefly Version: 0.2.4.1
    # Server Operating System: arm-v5te-linux-gnu
    # Server Hardware: Synology DS207+
    # Client Device: Roku Soundbridge M1001 (softwareversion 3.0.44)
    # no iTunes
    # Also tried using: built in Mediaserver works; Twonky works (but sooo slow)
    # Connection of clients: 100 MBit router, ethernet cabling
    # Web interface: Are you able to connect to the web interface? >>YES
    # iTunes XML file: Are you trying to set up Firefly to use your iTunes library file? >> No

Any ideas / suggestions / help from your ends?

    Thanks,
    Marcus

Hi – I found in another thread that I should better use a nightly version of FF, not the stable 0.2.4.1 release.

    http://forums.fireflymediaserver.org/viewtopic.php?t=7335

So how do I properly uninstall and install the nightly version of FF ?

    Thanks – Marcus
