    Hi gang,

Been several years since I have hacked away on Linux…..

Have installed libid3tag accoring to the install directions

Have installed mt-daapd according to the install directions

When I run mt-daapd I get the following error:

error while loading shared libraries: libid3tag.so.O cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

file is actually in /usr/local/lib so it does exist!

    Thoughts?

    It is on Redhat 8
    😯

    Krusty,

Check the file /etc/ld.so.conf to see if /usr/local/lib is listed.

If it’s not add the line, save, exit and at the prompt execute the command ‘ldconfig’

Hopefully this will fix the problem…

    Regards
    Simon Kennedy
