    Hi gang,

Been several years since I have hacked away on Linux…..

Have installed libid3tag accoring to the install directions

Have installed mt-daapd according to the install directions

When I run mt-daapd I get the following error:

error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

file is actually in /usr/local/lib so it does exist!

    It is on Redhat 8

Check the file /etc/ to see if /usr/local/lib is listed.

If it’s not add the line, save, exit and at the prompt execute the command ‘ldconfig’

Hopefully this will fix the problem…

    Simon Kennedy

will try that tonight! thanks….will report back tomorrow

Now I just need to get my Roku to find it….and properly set up.
