Whenever I scan my library, it only shows up 120 random songs from my music directory.
I have about 6500 songs and I can’t figure out how to fix this problem, and I have no idea what search query to use. Can anyone help me??

Of course. But you need to help us help you. 😉

What computer do you run firefly on? What operating system does it run on?
What version of firefly do you use?

Are your music file stored on a local disk, or remote?

What types of music files do you use?

When this happens to me, (and it seems to happen a lot), it’s always a permission and/or ownership problem. Compare the ownership/permissions of the 120 songs you can read with the rest, my guess is you will find something amiss.

Ok, let me try that again.
I had done it before and never found a problem with the permissions.
But let me try once more.

EDIT:OK I found that some songs have different permissions, but what should I tick off in these permissions box (to be safe)? This is an example of a song that permissions are incorrect. I’m guessing I tick the group read?

that’s it. You should allow read permissions for everyone. meaning owner, group and others.

Firefly normally runs as nobody/nobody, and it simply does not see the files owned by greg/greg otherwise.

    Ohhh….well thank you very much.
It actually makes a lot more sense now.
    Thank you so much.
