I’m looking for a pre-compiled mt-daapd binary WITH rsp support for my CH3WNAS (or DSMG600 which is the same hardware). Can someone provide me with this? I have two Pinnacle Soundbridge HomeMusic devices which I want to use to play music served by my NAS.

    This should help you. 🙂
I believe you have to apply the fun_plug hack first. Should be on the same site.
However, I would advise to download firefly 1696 instead of the mt-daapd 0.2.4 from the website. Setup should be exactly the same.

    Hi EVILRipper,

I already tried the precompiled mt-daapd from that site, but it hasn’t got RSP (Roku Server Protocol) in it, which my Pinaccle Soundbridge needs.

Heh, yes. As I said I suggested to use firefly 1696 instead of the mt-daapd 0.2.4 from that site.

    http://nightlies.fireflymediaserver.org/nightlies/svn-1696/mt-daapd_0.9-svn-1696_etch_arm.deb

I misunderstood the site. I think you need Telnet and/or SSH access to install 1696.
I have the CH3SNAS (which has the same hack) and used the fun_plug hack to chroot into a debian etch base install on boot. Next I added to run SSH on boot. Once in SSH, you can simply run

    dpkg --install mt-daapd_0.9-svn-1696_etch_arm.deb

    to install 1696.

Hi, thanks for the tip. I have tried chrooting into debian, only I got stuck in a “segmentation fault” at step 6 from:

Yes, an update in the wiki also notes that.
    I used this site: http://wiki.dns323.info/howto:chroot_debian
That’s pretty much the same machine, but then without wireless.
That site uses the exact same fun_plug hack.

The site has different command for the bootstrap. I suggest you try that one.

(Not sure though, reading from the command lines, the CH3WNAS has a PPC proc, and the CH3SNAS an ARM proc)
