My Firefly install on ubuntu 8.04 will sometimes run for days and at times only for an hour or so before Firefly will crash. I setup the log to hopefully grab the appropriate error to sort this out. The machine is a PIII 450 with 512 megs of RAM. I installed Firefly version svn-1696. It’s primarily a file server for my wife’s and my Mac’s and runs Netatalk/Avahi for file services. The music is actually on another old Linux machine because I don’t have the drive space on the host to to store my music/Podcasts and the connection is via NFS. The last lines of the error log are as follows:
2008-09-27 15:27:08 (b5bebb90): Finished streaming file to remote: 23844227 bytes
2008-09-27 15:27:38 (b5bebb90): Query: update songs set play_count=play_count + 1, time_played=1222543628 where id=772

2008-09-27 15:28:08 (b53eab90): Error: enum_begin failed (error 1): Misc SQL Error: database is locked
2008-09-27 15:28:08 (b6bedb90): Rendezvous socket closed (daap server crashed?) Aborting.
2008-09-27 15:28:08: Aborting
Any insight into how I can remedy this situation will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks…
