    I would like to create a playlist consisting of all pop, rock and alternative from the 1980s, but I am not sure how to do this without parentheses. I’m guessing something along the lines of:

    year >= 1980 AND year < 1990 AND (genre includes "pop" OR genre includes "rock" OR genre includes "alternative") Any suggestions? Thanks. Andy

    I’d suggest you use that one. 🙂

    Seriously. You don’t *have* to use the wizard. That syntax is right — just plunk it down in the text field of the playlist editor, and you are golden.
