Hello, I’m Brian Zhou, optware feed manager from nslu2-linux.org.
Right now, I see that nightly ipk’s are maintained separately from the nslu2-linux.org feeds. For those devices that fireflymediaserver.org cover, this is great. But I’m thinking, why not give firefly developer(s) optware svn access, and have upstream maintain a more recent ipk’s ?
This has some advantages, for one, all optware target platforms can benefit. The nslu2-linux autobuilder is setup to build and mirror the ipks. Since the nightly is pre-release, firefly developer knows the best which svn version is good. To the end user, this simplifies the feed setup even more.
We can have both mt-daapd (stable) and firefly (more recent) in the same feed, just make them conflict with each other. For the more recent ipk, name suggestion is welcome.
What do you think?
