well, the weird thing is, if I use “ogg” to check the file, its showing the info fine.
I’d guess the ogg binary uses the very same libogg calls ?

You are right. That’s strange. Maybe I’m doing something before that.

Can you email me on of the files at ron at pedde.com?

can your email account digest ~40-50MB attachments ?
I’ll try to provide different means, though.

Doh! I took “I’ll try to provide different means” as… uh… you’d try to provide different means. πŸ™‚

I’m moving over to a new host, I’m hoping to add ftp maildrops for it, but I haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m pretty much buried under bug reports and whatnot, so I’m not there yet. πŸ™‚

    nm.
Well, I’d really like to use a dedicated server that I happen to have, but its just extremely unlucky considering downtimes.
So I just have to walk down the mail road. *shrugs*

Sorry… just briefly. The test harness I have for the scanners seems to pick up the metadata okay, without any problems, so I’m thinking it’s something slug-specific… On my mac, the vorbis libs are 1.1.0, and ogg is 1.1.3.

I haven’t check the slug yet.

yes, I guess that is has to do with the limited meory on the slug, although mine has 512 extra swap, which should be terribly slow, but still not zombie those threads.

I know its not a piority, and its kinda pointless to listen to 3h+ music files on the ‘bridge w/o fast forward…. *sigh* πŸ˜‰

I dont expect it, but any progress there ?
I think I might give it a try this weekend, hope I find some time to tackle this issue both on a PC and on the slug.

I hadn’t, but I’m back on feature adding/bug fixing again, so I’ll have a look at it.
