Please help. I just installed mt-daapd_svn-1315-1_armeb.ipk and am getting this log file

    006-07-29 05:00:21 (00000400): Starting with debuglevel 0
    2006-07-29 05:00:21 (00000400): Starting rendezvous daemon
    2006-07-29 05:00:21 (00000400): Starting signal handler
    2006-07-29 05:00:21 (00000400): db_sqlite2_open: unable to open database: /var/c
2006-07-29 05:00:21 (00000400): Error opening db: Misc SQL Error: unable to open
    2006-07-29 05:00:21 (00000400): Stopping signal handler

I tried to install sqlite and sqlite2 to see if this would solve the problem, and can’t access the admin page on server:3689. Does anybody know what I can do?

Is that really the directory that it says? It should be /opt/var/mt-daapd.

In any event, the db_dir must exist and be writable by the run_as user. Perhaps you could re-install the package and let it overwrite your config, then edit back the stuff you changed. That way you would be closer to the defaults.

Tried this, but am still getting the same log entries with the reference to /var/c.
I have everything set to the default except I turned on the log file.

Can you check to see that you don’t have maybe TWO entries for “db_dir”? Maybe one was a typo or something and got left somewhere in the file, or accidentally got uncommented or something crazy?

I’m not sure where it would get that unless it really did say that in the config file. And that’s when you run it with /opt/etc/init.d/S60mt-daapd, right?

sorry was looking at the top of the log file
    The entry now is

    2006-07-29 06:26:03 (00000400): Starting with debuglevel 0
    2006-07-29 06:26:03 (00000400): Starting rendezvous daemon
    2006-07-29 06:26:03 (00000400): Starting signal handler
    2006-07-29 06:26:04 (00000400): Initializing database
    2006-07-29 06:26:04 (00000400): Starting web server from /opt/share/mt-daapd/adm
2006-07-29 06:26:04 (00000400): Listen port: Address already in use
2006-07-29 06:26:04 (00000400): Error staring web server: Address already in use
    2006-07-29 06:26:04: Aborting
2006-07-29 06:26:04 (00000400): Rendezvous socket closed (daap server crashed?)
    2006-07-29 06:26:04: Aborting

iTunes now see the server but no songs load, there is only one song in the directory so i can test quickly

The top bar in iTunes just shows ‘Loading “nslu2 Firefly Server”…’

I am using /opt/etc/init.d/S60mt-daapd to run the server

Thanks for putting up with these newbie questions
