It looks very interesting. What is the CPU speed? Is the performance satisfactory? Thanks. Dave 2nd June 2007 at 1:44 am #4836 shadymilkmanGuest I can’t complain about the CPU speed. I have an Iomega NAS 250gb NAS (http://www.iomega.com/direct/products/detail.jsp?current_tab=2&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=28548603&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=26891315&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=26890319&bmUID=118074840786) and I believe it has a 233Mhz chip in it. The longest part of using mt-daapd is the initial file listing – I’ve got about 6,000 songs loaded and server via mt-daapd and it takes about 12 seconds to load the complete song list once I click on the network share via iTunes. After that, everything is pretty must instantaneous. I haven’t had any lag or skips during playback and configuring the smart playlists is a breeze.
