Newbie here, I am running mt-daapd 0.2.3 on RH 9 updated with apt. Using ext3 file system.

All seems great except I noticed many files were missing, so I started looking and found the folders and files are in the music directory but for some reason will not show in iTunes.

I’ve tried deleting the database, forcing rescan, and changed permissions to 777.

    Help!

    Thanks,

    ezra

is the total filecount mt-daapd has correct ?

Otherwise there might be somthing wrong with you mp3’s or the rights to read them with the “runas” user …

    Most likely:

songs on 0.2.3 are indexed by inode,so if they are split across multiple physical disks, that’s probably where they are.

Otherwise, identify a missing song, then run mt-daapd with a logfile specified in the configfile and with a -d5 debug level. Then check the log. If it’sa permissions problem or something, the log will tell you.
