    Hi there,

I’m new to Firefly and have a simple question:

The software runs fine and is working however when I start a full scan the number of songs go up to >14000 but when its done and the scan goes to idle the number of songs is always 6717 ?!?!?

is this a limit in firefly or do I do something wrong with the scan? because that seems to locate all the mp3 files???

    please advice…

    Im running Debian and firefly
this is the administrative web interface for the Firefly Media Server, version svn-1376.

Well, hard to say, probably its finding some .files for the songs, sort of like iTunes creates?

Also, you might want to update to a more recent nightly, since there have been lots of changes since 1376….

Where is your music located? Local fixed drive? Network? Split?

And what are your music file types? all mp3? or some ‘exotic’ formats too? 😉

    hi,

All the files are on a local drive and all are .mp3’s I’ll have a sweep to make sure that all the .x files and cover.jpg files are gone and see what it find’s then.

About the new build is it available with apt?

    Thnx again

Fetch newest bleeding-edge builds from http://nightlies.mt-daapd.org/.

Grab the edgy.deb, I guess it will still work even with feisty. Then use dpkg to install the deb file. Its kinda easy actually.
