Something picky — it would be good to log non-zero return codes from the ssc script. I’m having a strange problem where ogg encoded on my new box isn’t getting processed by oggdec… perhaps it wasn’t really encoded as ogg? I’ll have to double check. Anyways, it would have been nice for compelteness to see the failure in the logs.

Yeah, that’s on my list, too. Ideally, I’d like to get the stderr as well and dump that to the log if it fails, but that would require reinventing the popen wheel, I think.

Logging the return code would be easy and helpful. I’ll get that reasonably quickly.

When I’m debugging ssc stuff, I run -f, so I can see stderr on the screen.
