    Sorry if this seems a little dumb, total noob here… ๐Ÿ™

    I’m trying to set up a Soundbridge Homemusic on a network with two computers and a wireless router. My music library is on the computer that I didn’t set up the network on and Media server is saying I can’t turn it on because I’m not the local administrator. Is this because I did not set the network up on this computer? How can I make myself local administrator?

    When a PC complains about not being Local Admin, it is probably not network related. It means you have logged on to it using a user which does not have admin rights. Try logging in as administrator instead of standard user.

    OK sorry, I guess I misunderstood then;

    Could you explain what you mean by this?

    You say the comp is on a network with a wireless router. But also, you say you “didn’t set up the network on it”. And what are you trying to turn on on the Media server? What media server are you talking about?

    Really, I need more details. ๐Ÿ™‚
