itunes won’t detect firefly

I just reformatted my server with windows xp. I have the latest firefly nightly build from the website as of a few hours ago, but I can’t seem to get itunes to detect it. I can remotely login from the computer with itunes on it, and I can ping the server, etc. I have it on port 3689 if that makes any difference. Anybody have any suggestions. Thanks.

Those computers need to be on the same network segment.
iTunes shares (and firefly) announces itself with multicast packets.

If you aren’t on the same segment, there are means to forward those packets. Search rendevouz-proxy for instance.
