I realize there are many posts on remote access to Firefly, but I could not find one that matches my situation. I have Firefly running on a windows machine in my home. Remotely, I am able to establish an SSL VPN connection to my home router over the internet. The router supplies my remote computer an internal IP address on the same subnet as my Firefly server. Over the VPN connection, I am able to log into the server’s web admin page at 192.168.1.100:9999. However, Itunes running on my remote computer does not see the server. Any help is appreciated.

You just need rendevouz-proxy, or anything like it.

The reason is that multicast packets are not routed over the VPN. Maybe you can tweak your VPN settings to route them as well, but if it isn’t openVPN then this is unlikely.
