Or I can somehow mark them in the song list, greyed out perhaps, and just skip to the next song if they are asked to be played. Or I can record myself shouting “THIS IS NOT AN MP3 YOU MORON!”. Hmmm, easter egg anyone?

The two things I would suggest next are
– A volume slider for the sound volume for the lazy guys
– A way to select genres and/or filter for em.And thanks for the work so far, really a great addition.

Yep – I was a day or so behind and only at 0.52!
0.55 with the search is brilliant.
I’d go for styling it like the Firefly web interface next.Nice work Bo.

Thanks! It is really nice to hear that you all like it!
I have already started genre selection. After browsing through the java code for the playlist.html I have come to realize how crippled my own code is. Trying to rewrite it right now.

The effort and commitment shown so far is amazing, and this will continue to keep FireFly as the fastest moving product on the planet.
Ron has always innovated, and his support is excellent.
I think that the combination of FirePlay and FF is a world beater.Keep up the good work, much appreciated.

I agree.
22/11/2007 at 7:28 AM #13507blammParticipantHi Bo.
While we are in rapid development. Any chance you could put links to the latest version of FirePlay in your sig? Saves me hunting for it in previous posts (I am afraid I am a bit of a bookmarkophobe)

Absolutely.
22/11/2007 at 9:39 AM #13509AnonymousInactiveWoo! Search feature!
I can’t keep up with you, Bo – I think I’m going to just create a cron job to pull down a new version every 24 hours so I don’t keep forgetting to update.
BTW, if anyone wants to embed this in the web interface and hasn’t yet, it’s pretty easy. You just add
@include hdr.html@
at the start of the FirePlay.html file and
@include ftr.html@
at the end.
I removed all the version checking bits and just left the tag in that file.
To get the navigation item, edit hdr.html – the navigation list code should be pretty self explanatory.
