Are you sure that you’ve installed firefly properly?
Are you using ubuntu by any chance?
I’ve seen problems with their packaged version and the configuration panel.

    I am using debian on a NSLU2.
At first it was working normal I changed te rescan interval through web and changed the password also.
But while trying to change the music folder it gave error:500 or something like that and did not save.
So I opened the config file, changed the music folder. It scans for the folder and can listen to the songs by using fireplay.
Everything looks working except the empty configuration tab.
All the fields are empty except the path to configuration file . It is strange.

I installed it using apt-get install mt-daapd in debian. I hope to correct this situation asap.
    Waiting your suggestions

I’ve seen similiar things with the debian package on x86. It seems an outdated config file or xml file is the culprit.
Anyway, bump up the debuglevel to 9 – you’ll have to edit the mt-daapd.conf file by hand – and check out whats happening when you try to access the webinterface.

I bet theres a wrong section in there, or a typo… something like that.

Yes, I have had this before too.
Though I have no idea how I solved it. IIRC I just ignored it, and was fixed on a reinstall later on.

Though I get the feeling it could be a permission problem?

Actually the first thing that I thought was the permission problem. So I checked the permission and increased to 777 to check but nothing changes.
It is weird that it is running now. I mean it builds the database for my music directory without any problem.
I do not think it is a typo problem. I mean I installed the mt-daapd before and same thing happened so I reformatted the drive and installed debian all over again to find out the mistake. Same thing happened so I think there must be a mistake in somewhere else. I also have a log file like this.

    Hi!

Having the same problem (configuration page blank) with current ubuntu (8.10) package.

logfile says cant find some files in:

    /usr/share/amt-daap/admin-root//lib-js/ …..

when trying to display the configuration page. so i guess the “//” are the problem..
    maybe this helps.
    cool prog, bye,
