daapd for fns-1000

Hi

I want to install daapd on my fns-1000. This nas is running linux and
I can access it via telnet. Twonkyvision is running on it
(Linux ARM big endian glibc 2.2.5). I want to use itunes so daapd
is the better solution.

The nas has the following cpu:
# cat /proc/cpuinfo
Processor : XScale-IXP425/IXC1100 rev 1 (v5b)
BogoMIPS : 266.24
Features : swp half thumb fastmult edsp

Hardware : Intel IXDP425 Development Platform
Revision : 0000
Serial : 0000000000000000

My problem is I have never done “real”crosscompiling.

Now my questions are:

* Is it possible to run daapd on this nas?

* Is there a list of libraries needed for daapd and is it possible to build daapd static?

* What is needed for cross-compiling? Do I need linux? At the moment
I’m working with OS X 10.5.2. I’m doing some ARM7 (arm7tdmi) development and have installed arm-gcc and the corresponding tools.
