    Hi,

I’ve just installed FireFly/mt-daapd on NSLU2, and it works! 🙂 Thanx!

The issue I have is with mp3s, that have cyrillic in tags – they are shown incorrectly (looks like wrong charset). The very same mp3s, if played from mounted drive by the same iTunes (i.e. accessing exactly the same files; no changes in setup/connections), show correct id3 tags.

    Config:
    mt-daapd v. 0.2.4.2 (installed through ipkg; armv5b-softfloat-linux-gnu)
    NSLU2, unslung 6.10
    iTunes 7.7.0.43 on WinXP SP3

    The problem:
With the same mp3 file, playing with the same iTunes: if file is accessed through mounted drive – tags are OK, if file is accessed through Firefly – tags are shown in wrong encoding.

    Thank you!

I don’t know about mt-daapd 2.4.2 but the nightlies support cyrillic. I’m running an older nightly on a terastation and have cyrillic fonts displayed in all my clients.

You might also want to check to see if your tags are in id3v2.3. Until I retagged everything with that format I had mixed results.

    Hope this helps.
