ok, I know a bit more know

I rebooted the whole thing, and before I did anything else, these are the processes that were running to do with mt-daapd

  239 root 300 S /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da
240 root 3936 R /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da
246 root 3936 S /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da
247 root 3936 S /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da

I then did

kill 239

and it worked for about 60 seconds of music without me actually starting anything.

Once it stopped, I started the server with init.d/S60mt-daapd and it worked again.

The following processes were running this time:

  333 root 256 S /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da
334 root 3968 R /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da
336 root 3968 S /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da
337 root 3968 S /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da
339 root 3968 S /opt/lib/ld.so.1 /opt/sbin/mt-daapd -c /opt/etc/mt-da

Any ideas what’s going on?
