Multicast/Unicast traffic is likely blocked from the NSLU2.
I believe firefly announces itself via UDP port 5353 to 224.0.0.something

The exact settings to get firefly to work through a firewall have been discussed here in the forums already.
A search will definetely turn up useful results.
