AAC files ripped with iTunes about 2-3 years ago. Used to play fine when Roku played directly from iTunes. It is only since the iTunes 7.xx upgrade and subsequent Bonjour/Firefly that I started having problems with playing this library on roku.
The Roku has the latest release -not Beta.
