I have been trying to get my SoundBridge 1001 up and running for a few weeks now and my last attempt was to try out firefly and see if that would solve my problems.

If you can’t get it working with windows media center or firefly, then I’m guessing there must be a fundamental networking problem of some kind.

Firewall on the PC, maybe? Try disabling all firewalls (built in and 3rd party) and see if that helps any.

It might be worth trying the latest nightly build (http://nightlies.mt-daapd.org), although it changes the way it handles playlists to work around an iTunes 7 issue. So it takes two full rescans before it gets the playlists set up correctly.

One way to test would be to see if the web admin pages work. From the tray icon you should be able to bring up the web administration page. If you go into configuration and set an admin password, then you should be able to get into the web config from any machine in your network at http://server:9999, logging in as “admin” with the admin password you set.

If you can’t get that to work, that would make me think firewall.

The firefly logs look okay. There are some known issues with iTunes playlists, but you don’t seem to have been bitten by them.

What is the K drive? Is this a physical drive, or a network drive?
