Does your log ever show something that says “scanned x files in y seconds”?

If not, then it didn’t finish scanning.

Your problems don’t appear to be related to ports, or config files, or anything else. It appears that your server is crashing, probably because of a corrupt mp3 file.

All I can do is to recommend that you follow the instructions on the post above regarding running a debug log and finding what file it gets to when it crashes.

If you can’t make heads or tails of the logfile, zip it up and email it to me at [email protected] and I can tell you what file is broken.
