Hey,

i just setted up a firefly media stream server. It streams my mediathek (*.m4v and mp3) very well to iTunes on a Mac. Now my Problem is, that i can not watch films on a Windows machine!
Whats wrong there? So exactely the same video file plays on MacOSX but not on Windows (7 nor XP…).

I encoded all the videos with “handbreake” and followed this steps (last post) — http://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6907
When i import the Videos into iTunes on a Mac, i can watch them on a windows machine!

This is the output from mt-daapd while starting:

sudo mt-daapd -f -d 5
Loading new config file.
Firefly Version svn-1696: Starting with debuglevel 5
Loaded plugin /usr/lib/mt-daapd/plugins/ssc-ffmpeg.so (ssc-ffmpeg/svn-1696)
Loaded plugin /usr/lib/mt-daapd/plugins/rsp.so (rsp/svn-1696)
No ssc program specified for script transcoder.
Error loading plugin /usr/lib/mt-daapd/plugins/ssc-script.so: plugin declined to load

looks quite nice!
When i connect to my firefly server via a Windows Machine (iTunes 9.0.2) then the mt-daapd output is something like that:

Session 0: Streaming file 'blablabla.m4v' to 192.168.113.69 (offset 0)
Finished streaming file to remote: 1569634604 bytes

Looks good, but there is no video in iTunes!
When i connect vrom a Mac (10.6.2, iTunes 9.0.2) it looks like this (same file):

Session 0: Streaming file 'DorfPunks.m4v' to 192.168.113.65 (offset 0)
Session 0: Streaming file 'DorfPunks.m4v' to 192.168.113.65 (offset 0)
Write error: Broken pipe
Error copying file to remote...
Finished streaming file to remote: 1569634604 bytes

and the video imideately begins to play!
When i try to copy the video files to those windows machines, the windows iTunes can play them without any problem! Also it is no Problem, when i share the videos from my Mac to a windows machine via iTunes.

Where can i try to find the problem? Any idea would be great!

Thank you soo much!
