I haven’t implemented any password protection at all, I’m relying on the admin password, to be able to reach the admin-root directory at all, OR placing the three files in a password protected directory.

What about telling FireFly to only connect locally? If you have FirePlay on the same physical server that could work.

My own firefly-setup (/etc/mt-daapd.conf) includes:

interface = eth1

Which makes only local connections possible, ie from local network (Soundbridge) or FireFly (which is also “local”) even though the client is remote via port 3689.

EDIT: Oops. I just read the wiki and “interface” seems not to be supported. Forget the above 🙂
