I installed Freelink on a Linkstation LS1 PPC version as well as svn-1696. I could not see Firefly at all with iTunes and reading here and on the NAS-Central forums I decided to upgrade the kernel to 2.6. Post install of 2.6 things started to work but Firefly crashes after playing 4 or 5 songs. I have the Linkstation on a wired network and the computers (mac’s & PC’s) are on the same switch. My error log from the last crash is as follows”

Note also that I have an iMac (running Leopard) using Chronosync (don’t yet have the savvy to setup rsync) to sync it’s library to the Linkstation every 29 minutes as there are Podcasts in the library as well and I’d like the latest to be present. The connection is provided by Samba on the Linkstation (can’t get afp to work even with Netatalk installed understand it’s a lack of SSL support on the Netatalk install and I bricked the Linkstation a couple of times trying to install SSL support). I’ve learned to un-brick a Linkstation with lots of experience and I’m also a pro at disassembly of a Linkstation (can remove that hard drive in 5 minutes flat)!

My config file is as follows:

[general]

web_root = /mnt/usr/local/share/mt-daapd/admin-root

port = 3689

admin_pw = mt-daapd

db_type = sqlite

db_parms = /mnt/usr/local/var/cache/mt-daapd

mp3_dir = /mnt/share/mp3

servername = Firefly Lossless %v on %h

runas = nobody

extensions = .mp3,.m4a,.m4p

ssc_codectypes = ogg,flac,alac

ssc_prog = /usr/local/bin/mt-daapd-ssc.sh

logfile = /var/log/mt-daapd.log

rescan_interval = 1740

scan_type = 2
debuglevel = 2

[plugins]
plugin_dir = /mnt/usr/local/lib/mt-daapd/plugins

process_playlists = 1

process_itunes = 1

process_m3u = 1

All I can say is HELP!
