What did the above steps show? Did it show up as advertising on the local machine but not the network? If so, then look to your router.
Did it not show up on the local machine? If so, then it’s an avahi problem. (multiple interfaces on that box? Only set up to bind to localhost?)
I have to imagine you see it on the local box, or the firefly server would have crapped out.
So it has to be advertising.
Did you check ipables -L? Anything there?
