Thank you, S80, I am planning on using the disk manager this time as I think you are right about the partitions.
As to the ports, I debated that. It seems that conventional wisdom (from the read me on the unsling 6.8 beta.. advised by Rich Dunlop to be followed) is Port 2 for single drive formatted by slug and all other drives will be Fat/NTFS
Port 2 for single drive formatted by slug only
Port 1 if you have 2 drives and both to be formatted by Slug.
My goal is to have mem stick on port 2 and HDD as Fat/NTFS on port 1.
I want the system to be able to ignore the HDD when I am not using it so it will spin down. Perhaps though it will do this anyway if I unsling to mem stick on port 1 and put HDD on port 2 after.
