Based on the new installation, what are the final steps necessary to enable the server, and point it to my itunes folder on the MSS at Compaq_Owner on ‘MAXTOR_JSK (Maxtor_jsk)’ (Y or y:My MusiciTunes?
At this point, mt-daapd is installed and ready to go.
The easiest way is to use the web based configuration. Just type “http://:3689” in your browser. You may be prompted for a username (admin) and password (mt-daapd).
You should get something that looks like this:
Click on “configuration” on the left pane. You should see something like this:
Under “Music Files” , change the folder to where your music files are stored on your MSS. You can also change the server name if you wish (this will be the name that shows up under the Shared section in iTunes).
Go back to the server status page, click on Start Server by the Firefly Media Server text, then you’ll probably want to do a full scan. After the scan is done, your Firefly server should be good to go.
