grab the real wget first 😉

ipkg install wget

and link the wget in /bin/wget to /opt/bin/wget if you need to.

It’s generally wise to download a couple of packages to your slug (if you can afford the extra space) to make it more desktop-linux comatible.

I’d generally advise to install these packages:
procps
coreutils
wget
bash
joe (or your favorite text editor)
