I’ve got the 1571 nightly built and running on Solaris 10 11/06 (x86) with the current recommended cluster. I’ve also tried the same things with 1549 with the same results.

Using the builtin Bonjour support it keels over very quickly, don’t even need a client connect though that’s enough to kill it if it does happen to get one.

With Howl things are nice and stable. And then iTunes connects and I get a bunch of this stuff in the log:

2007-05-10 09:21:58 (00000123): Unknown meta code: com.apple.itunes.gapless-dur
2007-05-10 09:21:58 (00000123): Unknown meta code: com.apple.itunes.gapless-resy
2007-05-10 09:21:59 (00000123): Unknown meta code: com.apple.itunes.is-podcast-playlist
2007-05-10 09:21:59 (00000123): Unknown meta code: com.apple.itunes.special-playlist

I suspect that’s a red herring, though.

I then get:

2007-05-10 09:22:02 (00000002): Rendezvous socket closed (daap server crashed?) Aborting.
2007-05-10 09:22:02: Aborting

and both mt-daapd *and* mDNSResponder disappear.

I’ve tried building with GCC3 (from Blastwave) and the Sun Studio 11 compiler, same problem regardless. I’ve also tried building the stable release but that seems to be a no-go.

Any ideas?

Can you get a stack backtrace?
