Write error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by..

Hi,

I recently unpgraded to Firefly Media Server SVN-1586 from the one posted on the Roku site, SVN-1389 (I think it’s 1389) for use on my Windows Vista machine.

It seems to run fine … the only thing different is the log entries. Sometimes I get an error regarding an existing connection being forcibly closed.

Here’s a sample from the log:

2009-07-26 08:06:22 (849d39c0): Session 0: Streaming file ‘zzFall to Pieces.mp3’ to 192.168.1.5 (offset 0)
2009-07-26 08:09:51 (1df5f53d): Session 0: Streaming file ‘Snow Patrol – Run.mp3’ to 192.168.1.5 (offset 0)
2009-07-26 08:15:45 (cbb9a783): Session 0: Streaming file ’17 Lost In Adelaide.mp3′ to 192.168.1.5 (offset 0)
2009-07-26 08:17:44 (cbb9a783): Write error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Playback isn’t affected – I’m just wondering what this means and whether or not I should care.

I get the same error when I hit stop in my player. The connection is simply closed. Firefly reports it as an error, but it’s nothing to worry about. 🙂
