    Hello everyone,

I started using firefly on Debian Linux 4.0 a week ago,
and my mt-daapd 0.2.4 works all right.

I can observe 17 conf. items from web interface,
but I can understand what do every items mean.

Could you tell me meanings of each conf. items ?
What description or web site should I peruse? Please.

The conf. items which I can’t understand are described below.
    Art Filename
MP3 Password – Is it passwd for iTunes to contact to server? If so, how can I set up iTunes?
Rescan Interval – I understand it is update interval [sec] of the media file database.
What is going to happen when this item set to 0 ?
    Scan Type
Always Scan – I set it to 1, but the database wasn’t update immediately.
Compress – What is compressed ?
Process .m3u Files – When it set to 1, can server treat the .m3u files?

    Thanks,
    Makethon

version 0.2.4 is old and some parts of the configuration file have changed but this page should help. http://wiki.fireflymediaserver.org/Config_File

If you set rescan to 0 then it will never scan for new music
If you enter a password, iTunes will prompt you for the password when you try to connect to the library

    Thanks a lot !

I’m ashamed to say, I couldn’t find out this information.
I’ll try to update mr-daapd version.

    Thank you,
    Makethon
